As soon as the bikini production in Bali is well equipped and everything runs smoothly, I would also like to support my home country Bangladesh and start a local family business.
The average salary in Bangladesh for an employee in the textile industry is around 80 euros per month - hard for us to imagine.
Bangladesh is one of the low-wage countries that could no longer feed its population with agricultural production alone. In order to survive, the population is therefore dependent on jobs in industry.
Despite the often poor conditions in the clothing industry, many workers prefer it to employment in agriculture, since working conditions in agriculture are usually even worse. Around 3.5 million textile workers are employed in Bangladesh, 80 percent of whom are women. Up to 20 million people, around one eighth of the population, are directly or indirectly dependent on the textile industry. The nice thing is that the economy has improved a lot in recent years. More children can go to school, there is less hunger and more jobs.
It is important to me to be able to help a small part in Bangladesh and to give them a better life. With the second production site in Bangladesh, the production of the bikinis can be ramped up and the range expanded.
Bangladesh would mainly be a destination for plus size, swimwear for girls and summer dresses.
